Compass Counseling of Northwest Indiana
I enjoy working with a broad spectrum of clients and issues. I love seeing clients challenge themselves, put in effort to help themselves, and have the courage to look at and see themselves with honesty and curiosity. I continuously work to expand my tools, techniques, and modalities. Recognizing how trauma affects people in various ways, I use EMDR, DBT, IFS, yoga, and mindfulness. I believe that the mind, body, and spirit all impact each other, and often incorporate elements of physical well-being for clients who are open to incorporating a more holistic approach to their mental health.
I strive to facilitate the creation of a safe space for you to be able to freely express and explore yourself, find your own power and authority over yourself, and provide you with knowledge and tools to address your issues and goals.
Ultimately, many of our answers are within us; we are each the only ones with the power and control to change, grow, and/or heal. My role is to companion you on that journey and offer things I have learned that may be helpful.
