Compass Counseling of Northwest Indiana

Miranda Manis, MSW, LCSW

I work with teens, young adults, couples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, trauma, anxiety, and mood-related concerns. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and productive.

My style is a balance of warm and direct. I strive to create a space where you feel affirmed, understood, and safe to be yourself, while also helping you stay focused on your goals. At times that means offering gentle support; at other times it means being honest and helping you take accountability so meaningful change can happen.

I use a client-centered approach and invite you to take the lead in identifying what feels most important to work on. I ask thoughtful questions to understand the bigger picture of your experiences, relationships, and strengths. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic bond where you feel comfortable being real – and empowered to grow.
